Massage therapy, physical therapy and acupuncture have all had good success in relieving the physical pain associated with TMJD. There may be occlusion issues that must be dealt with by a dentist or severe joint issues such as osteoarthritis, but a significant portion of TMJD has to do with correctable habitual actions. While there is no reliable cure for all TMJD, many cases can be very well controlled or even cured.
